As the article below attests, climate change clowns continue to abound worldwide. The concept of controlling climate remains an amazing phenomenon, unsupported by any real science beyond flawed and useless computer projections while, at the same time, being fully bereft of any factual historical evidence.
Educated people still believe that they can legislatively and judicially enforce human manipulation of our weather. Future generations will study this era and wonder aloud as to what these people were smoking that so warped their intelligence. The lack of common sense among the global warming crowd is really nothing short of staggering.
It is like some sort of mass hypnosis has occurred. The truth is that humans have never and will never control the natural cycles of climate change on planet earth. To believe it possible is either sheer ignorance or spectacular arrogance.
Climate clowns would have us believe that by reducing our "carbon footprint" we can redirect our planetary climate. They blame cars, fireplaces, coal, bovines, pigs and other farm animals, along with a host of other "man made" causes, for changing weather patterns. In short, in their imaginations, it is our own carbon emissions that doom the earth.
Bull feathers, to borrow a phrase.
Here is the short list of some of the most powerful influences on climate. All of them have always and will always continue to exert far more sway on our weather than will the earth's population. Note that all of these represent real science, not computer projections.
1. The Sun: our solar heater has more power that all the planets in our solar system combined.
2. The Wind: have you ever noticed the cooling effect of most all breezes? Or how about this, try experiencing a desert wind, sometimes referred to as devil winds. In Southern California, when the legendary 'Santa Ana's" blow, the entire environment changes.
3. The Ocean Currents: the sun heats, or the lack of sun cools, the waters and the currents carry the warmer or colder waters to the land masses. Said currents thus have a heating or cooling effect on coastal areas immediately and on inland areas via the coastal changes.
4. The Continental Drift: this one has immense impact but it occurs over millions of years, so not to worry in our lifetimes. We know at one point some 700 million years ago the continents had come together and the planet became encased in ice. We also know that over time they drifted apart and we got to the state we find ourselves in this very day. Just so you know, the European continent continues to drift away from North America. Eventually, those pesky continents will all drift back together again. Better not to be here when that happens. One wonders, how will Al Gore's global warming crowd control that natural occurring drift process?
5. The Volcanoes (and other natural explosive phenomenon): one major volcanic eruption can put far more particulate into our atmosphere that all America's motor vehicles combined. Volcanoes happen. So do collisions with asteroids and other space produced impacts that engender massive changes in our earthly climate. Hard as we try, humans are not likely to ever control such real life events.
So while we fine the owners of herds of dairy cows to punish the fact that their animals regularly belch and fart, important nature generated weather factors occur unabated. Collectively, all of us will be able to do exactly nothing relative to the power of the natural world.
One critical final note. While Western governments stumble over each other in the race to prove which nation is more foolish than the rest, the big players in the game of carbon production, that being India and China, will continue to generate more carbon than the rest of us can ever hope to eliminate. In short, the world will gain nothing beyond an ever so slight reduction in the GROWTH of carbon emissions. That is, the growth will continue but the rate of said growth will diminish to a small, and relatively insignificant, degree.
But the climate clowns will FEEL better which is far more important to them than actually making a difference. Just ask Judi Dench.
Lawyers call for international court for the environment
A former chairman of the Bar Council is calling for an international court for the environment to punish states that fail to protect wildlife and prevent climate change.
By Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent
Stephen Hockman QC is proposing a body similar to the International Court of Justice in The Hague to be the supreme legal authority on issues regarding the environment.
The first role of the new body would be to enforce international agreements on cutting greenhouse gas emissions set to be agreed next year.
But the court would also fine countries or companies that fail to protect endangered species or degrade the natural environment and enforce the "right to a healthy environment".
The innovative idea is being presented to an audience of politicians, scientists and public figures for the first time at a symposium at the British Library.
Mr Hockman, a deputy High Court judge, said that the threat of climate change means it is more important than ever for the law to protect the environment.
The UN Climate Change Conference in Poznan, Poland this month is set to begin negotiations that will lead to a new agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol in Copenhagen next year. Developed countries are expected to commit to cutting emissions drastically, while developing countries agree to halt deforestation.
Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister, has agreed the concept of an international court will be taken into account when considering how to make these international agreements on climate change binding. The court is also backed by a number of MPs, climate change experts and public figures including the actress Judi Dench.
Mr Hockman said an international court will be needed to enforce and regulate any agreement.
"The time is now ripe to set this up and get it going," he said. "Its remit will be overall climate change and the need for better regulation of carbon emissions but at the same time the implementation and enforcement of international environmental agreements and instruments."
As well as providing resolution between states, the court will also be useful for multinational businesses in ensuring environmental laws are kept to in every country.
The court would include a convention on the right to a healthy environment and provide a higher body for individuals or non-governmental organisations to protest against an environmental injustice.
Mr Hockman said the court may be able to fine businesses or states but its main role will be in making "declaratory rulings" that influence and embarrass countries into upholding the law.
He said: "Of course regulations and sanctions alone cannot deliver a global solution to problems of climate change, but without such components the incentive for individual countries to address those problems – and to achieve solutions that are politically acceptable within their own jurisdictions – will be much reduced."
The court would be led by retired judges, climate change experts and public figures. It would include a scientific body to consider evidence and provide access to any data on the environment.
Most importantly, Mr Hockman said an international court on the environment would influence public opinion which in turn would force Governments to take the environment seriously. He said: "If there are bodies around that can give definitive legal rulings that are accepted as fair and reasonable that has its own impact on public opinion."
Friends of the Earth welcomed the idea.
A spokesman said: "We think any institution that is going to promote and help people enforce their right to a clean and healthy environment is a good thing."

An international court, to enforce international agreements,to fine countries or companies,.....sounds a great deal like a one world order to me. If you listen close you can hear it coming, the low rumble of the mill wheels grinding the individuals rights and freedoms to exceedingly fine bugdust.
AKA-
Does tend to make one a bit nervous, doesn't it?
It's the new religion filled with true believers. Much to the detriment of the rest of humanity.
TLC-
It is a form of religious belief since it has nothing to do with evidence, proof or fact. Followers must believe without the benefit of logic or common sense. Sad.
So true... when people gave up on religion the next fear mongering avenue was the climate. From the hole in the ozone layer (remember that) to global warming to climate change... they can't make up their minds what is actually going on.
Yes the climate changes, it's mostly called seasons. Are people influencing this? I very seriously doubt we could even if we really tried!
Robert-
Thanks for the comment with which I am in total agreement. Let there be no doubt, human beings will never, repeat never, control climate change. We are helpless relative to the power of natural forces.
